What do I need to start trading?
To start trading, you need to open an account. Registering an account on Doto is fast and simple and will give you access to trading financial instruments. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to register and start trading.
How to open and verify your trading account
Verification is crucial to unlocking the full potential of Doto and your trading account. To register and verify, follow these steps:
- Go to doto.com or download the Doto app from Google Play or the App Store.
- Use your email address or account with Google, Facebook or Apple if you use the iOS app.
- In the next window, choose Real or Demo account. If you click Try demo account, the trading terminal will open immediately. To trade on a real account, click Verify and pass the verification procedure first.
- Indicate your place of residence, trading experience and other information.
- Confirm the declaration.
- Verify your account by uploading your documents. You will also be requested to take a selfie with your phone camera or laptop.
Once submitted, your documents should be verified within 24 hours. If any additional information is needed, our customer support team will contact you using your provided information. Once verified, your deposits and withdrawals will be enabled. You can check your verification status in your Profile.
How to open your first trade
After we’ve verified your account, you’ll have full access to Doto’s trading platform. To open your first trade, follow these steps:
- Go to doto.com or download the application from Google Play or the App Store.
- Log in to your account.
- By default, you have Real and Demo accounts available for trading. You can open the trading terminal and trade using one of them. To trade using a real account, you must verify and deposit funds first.
- After the platform opens, you’ll see the price chart. Above it, there are three instruments for trading set by default.
- You can choose EURUSD for your first trade. This is one of the most popular instruments. To see more of the instruments available, press +.
On the right-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a window where you can place your trade. Press Market to open your trade at the current market price.
In the box that says Volume, type the size of the trade lot. Lot size simply means the number of units of the instrument you wish to trade. For EURUSD, 0.01 lot equals 1,000 euros.
Press Buy or Sell. You can now monitor the results of your trade in real time in the Trades window.
- To close your trade, press Close in the Trades window below the chart. If multiple trades are open, you can close them all at once by pressing the Close all button.
That’s it! Practice opening and closing a few more trades on your demo account to get a better understanding of how the platform works. When you’re feeling more confident, start trading on the real account.
